De-Forested!

More than 100 species of trees live in Indiana.  Before the settlers arrived, 80 percent of the state was covered with forests.  Today, less than one-quarter of Indiana is considered forested.  Most of this land is found in the southern part of Indiana in state forests and the Hoosier National Forest.
