The Tri-State Tornado blew through Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri in 1925. Its path stretched for 219 miles from Ellington Missouri, to Petersburg, Indiana. The tornado killed 74 people. It was one of the deadliest tornadoes in U.S. history.
