Slaves and Slavery

Thousands of people were brought from Africa to work as slaves in the early years of the United States.  The French and early American settlers from the South brought slaves to Indiana.  Slaves were forced to work long and hard.  Many slaves shared unique talents such as music and cooking that we still enjoy today.
